I could not wait until after the renovations to spin up a hypervisor for some after work fun.

In the past I used VMware workstation to create virtual machines. Now as I am almost 2 years into my first IT job as servicedesk T1/sysadmin I was curious for other solutions. Most open source projects have great communities and mostly free to use.

For my homelab now I tried to install Proxmox on a spare laptop. failed on the first try, reason was an old AMD cpu that could not enable virtualization in the bios. tried another spare laptop with Intel cpu this time.

A little preview below, time to get some projects running!
